Welcome to our web site! We're so glad you stopped by.
So who is the Prowell Family band? It's Scott (dad) and Cynthia (mom), with daughters Sadie (14) and Emma (13). In 2007, we felt led to rent out our farm house in Lenexa, KS, and travel around the country in a motorhome, doing volunteer work at churches and church camps; frequently playing music specials in the area. In January of 2010, we officially started our family band. Now our primary focus is to play concerts at churches, RV parks, festivals, and community events.
We feel that this is our call - that Music is our Mission!
Our style is contemporary gospel bluegrass - with Scott on mandolin, banjo, guitar, and vocals; Cynthia on upright bass and vocals; Sadie on guitar, mandolin, and vocals; and Emma on violin/fiddle, mandolin, and vocals. It's progressive, acoustic Americana with tight family harmonies and an energetic style.
Our concerts feature our own original music that we have been writing on the road, with a message to lift up and encourage. Our church and gospel events usually include our testimony of how God has lead us to this point, along with some visual demonstrations that Sadie and Emma do that appeal to all ages.

For certain venues (festivals and RV parks)
we incorporate traditional bluegrass, cowboy tunes and celtic/Irish songs. At RV parks we
also feature Sister Mary Bernadette
with her splash of humor.

This had been our home, office, school, cafeteria, studio, and mode of transportation from 2007-2012.
Now we split our time between it and our farm house in Kansas.
The girls have a bedroom again.....woo hoo!
